Baccarat Rouge 540 EDP vs Extrait
Both bottles are red, both say 540, and they are separated by a word most people skim past. They are not one fragrance at two strengths - they are two readings of the same idea.
The short answer
The Eau de Parfum is the airy, saffron-and-jasmine version that made the fragrance famous: sweet, luminous, detectable across a room. The Extrait is darker and more resinous - less of the airy sugar, more amber and wood - and it stays closer to the skin despite being the stronger concentration.
