Majestic is Gloria Naturals' interpretation of Creed Aventus, the fruity-smoky masculine that made pineapple over birch a genre of its own, and it costs AED 105. On paper it follows the original's structure in full, all twelve notes. The rest of this page is about the two things a note list cannot settle, the smoke and the office, and about who should not buy it.
What Aventus is, and why it is argued about
Aventus, launched in 2010, opens on pineapple, blackcurrant, bergamot and apple, moves through birch, patchouli, Moroccan jasmine and rose, and dries down on musk, oakmoss, ambergris and vanilla. The pineapple is what people notice; the birch is what makes it Aventus. Without the smoky, slightly tarry birch under the fruit, you have a fruit cocktail.
It is also the most argued-over fragrance on the internet, because Creed's batches vary. Some years lean fruity, some smoky, some sharper. That matters for dupe buyers in a specific way: the Aventus you remember may not be the Aventus someone else remembers, and neither of you is wrong.
Creed has since released Aventus Cologne (2019, lighter and gingery) and Aventus Absolu (2024, denser). Majestic follows the original Aventus, not either of those.

Two honest observations follow.
The list is complete, so the question is entirely about execution. The two hardest parts of Aventus to follow are the pineapple, which has to read as ripe fruit rather than sweets, and the birch, which has to read as smoke rather than as rubber. A note list cannot tell you how either was handled. What it can tell you is that Majestic does not take the common shortcuts: it does not drop the birch (which makes a "fresh fruity" that is not Aventus) and it does not add extra sweetness to hide it.
Expect the smoke to be the make-or-break. If you loved Aventus for the fruit, most interpretations will please you. If you loved it for the birch, judge Majestic only after an hour on skin, because the smoke is a heart-and-base matter, not an opening one.
Nothing in the list suggests Majestic is sweeter than the original. Vanilla is in both, in the base, in small proportion.
The office question
Aventus has a reputation as a "compliment" fragrance and a boardroom fragrance, and the reputation is half right.
The opening is loud. Pineapple and blackcurrant at three sprays in a lift is a lot, and in an open-plan office in a tower the first hour will be noticed. The dry-down, musk and oakmoss with the birch, is quiet and dignified. So the honest guidance for Majestic follows the original's: two sprays, applied at home rather than in the car park, so the fruit has burned off by the time you reach your desk.
If your office is conservative and you want the smoky-woody presence without the fruit announcement, Nobel (AED 95), which follows Givenchy Gentleman, gets there without the pineapple.
Before you blind-buy
- If you disliked the original's fruit, you will dislike this. Pineapple is not a supporting note here; it is the first thing anyone smells for an hour.
- If you want the smoky batches, be realistic. No interpretation at AED 105 will settle the batch argument. Majestic follows the standard structure. Anyone who tells you a dupe matches a specific batch is guessing.
- As a gift, it is a good bet for a man who already likes fresh-fruity masculines and a poor bet for a traditionalist who wears oud. The pineapple reads as Western and modern; in a family that wears mukhallat it can feel out of place.
- What will disappoint you compared with the original: longevity claims. Creed's reputation for lasting all day is partly concentration and partly price justifying itself. The shop does not publish measured hours for Majestic and neither should you expect the same tail from a fragrance at a fraction of the price. Judge it on the first six hours, where the style lives.
In UAE heat
Fruit tops are volatile. In summer the pineapple-blackcurrant opening is short and bright, then the birch and musk take over. That is a good thing here: the base of this style is dry and smoky rather than sweet, so it does not turn syrupy in humidity the way a vanilla gourmand does.
The one place it can go wrong is the car. A hot car concentrates the fruit into something closer to jam; apply indoors and let it settle before you drive.

Majestic is the only one of the four with real smoke in it. If that is the part of Aventus you loved, it is the only candidate on the shelf.
What people get wrong
Smelling it on paper and deciding. The birch is invisible on a blotter and obvious on skin after an hour. Paper tells you about the pineapple only.
Applying like the original's price allows. Five sprays of an AED 105 bottle is easy and the result is the same as five sprays of anything: too much. Two.
Expecting it to replace the bottle for a fan. For someone who owns and loves Aventus, an interpretation is a daily-wear alternative that saves the good bottle for occasions, not a replacement. Buy it in that spirit.
